British Columbia's curriculum is in the process of change. We are including core competencies in every grade level and subject in the K-12 system. These competencies will encourage all of us to do more work around learning and developing skills that will be transferable to life after high-school.
You will be assessed on the development of these competencies as we go through History 12. These two documents are the rubrics being used to assess the competencies

CommunicationThis competency includes the demonstration of active citizenship, ethics, open-mindedness, diversity and collaboration. It also looks at the demonstration of written, oral, and graphic work.

Critical ThinkingThis competency looks at the application of questioning, comparing, summarizing, and drawing conclusions.

Creative ThinkingThis competency includes the demonstration of the ability to assess and access information, collecting, evaluating data, organizing and presenting information in a new way, and citing sources.
